Avantco A-49F-HC 54" Solid Door Reach-In Freezer

Bought two and one doesn’t keep french fries frozen. Internal fan doesn’t seem to circulate so top of product is froze but bottom shelves are not. Seems like an easy fix but after two weeks of talking with readykitchen warranty, still no action. DO NOT purchase ready kitchen. Every interaction is obviously geared to not solve the problem quickly. They will not send a tech to fix and as commercial kitchen owners know, we don’t have tome to answer one question a day from a tech in some other country telling us to troubleshoot over a “chat” or email. My product is lost long ago at this point and they won’t even provide a phone number. It is crystal clear the objective of the extended warranty is to take money and never solve the problem. Do yourself a favor and accept its a throw away item and either pay for service yourself if minor or purchase a new one. Ready kitchen is a horrible excuse for a solution.

This freezer stopped holding temp after 6 months of use. I have thawed meats I need to toss which resulted in a a huge amount of lost sales.

Item fits perfect in the space we have available. Item also holds a considerable amount of food. Very pleased with item and shipping.

Lasted only a year and a half before the fan went out and it wasn't covered under warranty.

Worst purchase ever! Poor quality very flimsy and so loud it makes me physically ill, headache, nausea. I’m sad, mortified. It cost more to repair than new.

Freezer arrived with shelving tracks installed incorrectly and the freezer is very noisy. Even though the freezer arrived with issues webstaurant customer support wouldn’t do anything to help other than suggest I submit a warranty claim on my brand new freezer. The warranty company has been very difficult to deal with. 2 months in and I’m now just getting it diagnosed my a service tech to wait on parts that may or may not require that I end up replacing the unit anyhow. I am beyond dissatisfied with this unit and wish I would not have purchased.

It stopped working after 1 year and 4 months of regular use on ice packs. I submitted claims to the company but no response. They can be a good freezer but once it breaks you are on your own.

Not a good freezer! Only lasted about 1.5 years of actual use! Compressor went out, now it’s unusable without spending $ for new compressor (with labor)! DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!! Not only lost money on the cost of the freezer but had to throw away a lot of food!!

I purchased the Avantco A-49F-HC freezer for my small business, hoping for reliable performance, but it has been a major disappointment. After just four years of moderate use, the compressor completely failed, leaving me with spoiled inventory and a hefty repair bill. To make matters worse, Avantco refused to honor any warranty on the compressor, claiming it was outside their coverage period. For a commercial-grade unit, I expected far better durability and customer support. The initial cooling was decent, but the lack of longevity and poor warranty service make this freezer a risky investment. Save your money and look for a more reliable brand with better customer service.

Decent freezer so far. It makes a good amount of noise and rattles (unlike my other three fridge and freezers). I bought a bun rack that (according to website) fits - it did not. The replacement they offered fit but it’s extremely tight - I will need to modify the rack in order for it to fit well. Otherwise works well so far.

Purchased for 1 year and 3 months, stopped working now

It works 8 months. I brought 5 extended warranty. Starting to contact them.

Product arrived packaged very well with no damage. Used to store prepped appetizer. Purchased 2 months ago and no issues so far. Make sure to wait 24/48 hours after arrival to plug in

We've had the unit for 8 months. Works great.

From the first day of receiving this freezer it doesn't work. After waiting 48 hours for the freezer to settle in place, we plugged it in and set the temperature. Each time, the freezer temperature gets hotter by the moment until near 90 degrees at which time we unplug it for a day to cool down and then we've tried again following instructions. Not working!

Stopped working 1 week after delivery. Webstraurant told me to call the warranty service for repairs. I expected them to take care of setting it up. Hope this process goes smooth, otherwise I bought a brick.

We have had our freezer for just over a year. It is used in a food bank at our church so maybe not as much usage as a commercial setting, but we have had no issues so far. We bought another unit 6 months ago and it has worked flawlessly as well. We are looking to buy a third and hope we have the same experience. Never contacted customer service so I can't speak to that, but the fit and finishes were all very nice.
