Do I need any other components in order to use this dicing grid?
This dicing grid must be paired with a slicing plate in order to produce a dice cut. When choosing a slicing plate / dice grid combination, be aware that very soft items may be smashed if sliced too thin.
Will this work for cutting any fruit or vegetable?
While these grids will work on most fruits and vegetables, we do not recommend using them for cutting through thick skins and exteriors. For items like this, we recommend peeling them first to obtain the best finished product.

We have these dicers in a couple different sizes and have had great success with them. We cut peppers, sweet potatoes and they can take forever, but this has worked great for us.

I use this mostly for dicing onions. I find myself having to clean out the grid fairly often. A larger size grid would probably not get jammed up as easily but they aren't available. This does much better for dicing firmer vegetables.
