They are ok but lack the weight to be useful. Very durable but for the price I would be more inclined to purchase stoneware or porcelain.

where have you been all my life. We have been using heavy ceramic ones, that can and did break often. These are great light weight and durable, we have been using them for about 6 months and no cut marks on them...yet
