This 24'' x 700' 40# pink / peach butcher paper roll, also known as steak paper, is designed to help keep meat looking fresher, longer, while on display!

This pink / peach butcher paper can be used to wrap fresh foods and deli items, cover display cases, or serve as a stronger table cloth than other paper table covers. Pink / Peach Butcher Paper

This 24" wide paper is to help meat keep its color and hide the extra juices that run out of the meat. Pink / peach butcher paper retards the loss of moisture when cooking. It's FDA approved for BBQs and smoking meats, and it will not trap moisture. It allows the meat to breathe through the paper, ensuring a smoky flavor when using to cook. If you intend to freeze products in pink / peach butcher paper, be sure to first wrap them in plastic.

What is basis weight?
Basis weight is the weight of one ream of paper (500 sheets) when cut to the industry standard for that specific grade of paper. Therefore, the higher the basis weight, the heavier the paper. This weight may differ from the actual weight of the product being sold, so to differentiate the two, basis weight is often notated with a “#” sign after it, whereas the product weight is usually labeled with “lb.” after it.

My husband purchased this for smoking his whole briskets on the Big Green Egg. He loves it! It really does seem to make a difference with retaining the smoke flavor and keeping the meat nicely moist yet tender.

I used this paper to wrap focaccia bread at my first farmer's market. The oil soaked right through the paper immediately - there was no delay. The description of this paper said, "The 40# basis weight gives it the strength it needs to hold up against blood, oil, or water..." This did NOT hold up to oil as promised in the description. It was a waste of money and my customers were carrying around oil-soaked paper. Hardly a positive first impression. We had to double wrap the bread to delay the oil from bleeding through, but after a little while, the paper was still was soaked in oil. (See pic - that is the bread after being double-wrapped). Very disappointed with this product.

This paper is so useful for so many things. My primary use and reason for purchase was to wrap BBQ after the bark is set up. However, I have found myself using this paper for countless other things. I use it a lot for simply protecting work surfaces when working with something that could damage them or make clean up difficult. I use it for shipping and packaging. Great paper at a great price.

Best Butcher paper. It can be used for many things like wrapping a brisket to wrapping gifts. I use it for my smoked briskets. The bark always comes out great. Foil usually ruins the bark so this pink paper is now my favorite.

For the past year or two I’ve been using peach butcher paper to wrap different cuts of beef during smoking. The butcher paper works to lock in a majority of the moisture of a beef brisket while still allowing some of the smoke flavor to penetrate. I was ecstatic when I was able to find this massive 700 foot roll of the butcher paper. Up until I came across this I was buying it by the foot from my local butcher. For the price this product is a definite game changer.

Used this as Texas crutch while cooking brisket. The paper performed it's job well other then leaving a strange smell. It didn't effect the taste of the meat in any way I can tell,but the smell is a bit of a negative..

Luckily found webstaurante. Live in a state where "peach" butcher paper isn't available anywhere. Ready to change up the way I finish my smoked brisket and a great look to serve it. Price is remarkably cheaper than any other place I found.

I use this on the BBQ to perform that "Texas Crutch", or as sheets to serve meals on. From a meat wrap perspective while you are smoking meats, i prefer the peach treated paper over foil and plastic wrap. The reason why is because the paper still allows the meat to breathe, so the bark doesn't get soggy. Granted, you will need to double wrap the meat to prevent loss of liquids, but the paper does a great job of holding the liquids in. Don't be confused by other butcher papers. Peach treated is the right one you are looking for. Smoking meats in other paper that is not FDA approved, or has a wax lining is not a good idea.
