I purchased this tenderizer to chop shelled pecans. It works good enough to make bird food with which was my intent. We are a candy manufacturer with our own orchard and we grow our own pecans for our products. When our pecans start getting old, we make bird food out of them. Have not tried it on meat just yet but it is a lot quicker than a knife and cutting board. It does not chop the nuts fine enough or uniformly enough for some of our products. It will let a few whole halves pass through without being chopped. Considering it was not designed to chop nuts, I am fairly pleased with it because a purpose built pecan chopper with uniform output size is very expensive.

Use the Weston 07-3101-W-A manual meat tenderizer on tough cuts of meat to give them a softer, more succulent texture. Not only will your steaks and roasts be easier to chew, they will absorb marinades better and require less cooking time. The Weston tenderizer takes the hard work out of tenderizing your meat; instead of hefting a heavy mallet, you simply crank a handle and feed the meat inside the tenderizer, where stainless steel blades create tiny cuts in the muscle fibers.
Stainless Steel Blades
This tenderizer features 31 stainless steel blades that are designed to slice through the toughest portions of meat. Use cuts of beef, chicken, or pork that are up to 1 1/4" thick. The stainless steel combs will prevent meat from wrapping around the blades and getting caught.
Counter Mounted

Read a few reviews, thought about it for a while.....Been bit a couple times on subpar budget meat processing equipment. seeing that I will process 300-400 lbs of meat a year don't need restaurant expensive equipment. The Weston manual meat tenderizer is a great buy and works great on our chicken breasts. The tenderizer makes the chicken super tender for frying and is the key to making our chicken fried chicken so delicious. The design is great and its simple to use.
The Weston Manual Meat Tenderizer was very easy to put together and is easy to take apart to clean. The blades are very sharp and it js not dishwasher safe.
Can not beat this for the money I will put this up against any grinder mounted cuber buy the motor and have a stand alone cuber for less then others. priceless
I bought this a couple of years ago when it was sold with both the jerky slicer blade and the tenderizer blades. I use it for jerky only, so I don't know about the tenderizer. But, the jerky slicer is fantastic. A make chicken jerky as dog treats. I share it with MANY people so I make a lot! This slicer made a job that I did by hand and took me hours, to a quick and easy crank of the hand. I LOVE IT. There is only one problem with it, it's not dishwasher safe! That's really a BIG problem in my eyes. Trying to wash the cutting blades is dangerous. They warn you to use cut proof gloves when using it. Great Great tenderizer every meat cut we put through it came out great, was a little disapointed when the motor i ordered to go with this unit did not fit this tenderizer. But the tenderizer turns so easy my wife said she had no trouble tenderizing the stakes we had for supper a day or two later as we had not tenderized these stakes yet they were frozen when we done the first batch of beef and pork. Tenderizer really makes a difference when you are looking for a good tender stake or chop off the grill.

Tenderizer works for what it is. BUT the opening between the legs is so narrow that it is difficult to find a container that will fit. Plus unless you are tenderizing a lot of meat, probably not worth it to have to take the machine a part and clean everytime.
