Customer questions about this product
- How can I properly care for cast iron surfaces?
- In order to prevent unwanted build-up of oils, grease, and food, surfaces should be cleaned after use while still slightly warm. Harsh chemicals or scouring pads should not be used—only hot water and a cloth or sponge are needed. If some areas require extra cleaning, a mild scouring pad can be used. Please refer to our Pan Seasoning Guide for further information on properly cleaning and seasoning cast iron surfaces.

People Talk About:
crepe maker crepes great Love easy more temperature heat machine -
This crepe maker is reasonably priced for an NSF approved equipment item. It seems to be the only brand and crepe maker listed in NSF database. It does the job in making crepes but my only gripe is that it's kind of difficult to season. I followed the directional videos and guidelines provided by Waring but I still find that my crepe batter sticks to the surface. I've only used it a couple times - so probably requires more uses/seasoning. Just an FYI in case you were hoping to purchase this crepe maker and put into a high volume use immediately.
-
i love this crepe maker. we had it for over 5 years, i never had any issues. if it ever goes out i would buy again.
-
I just bought thus for my start-up crepe buisness and its great! Once the Waring crepe machine is properly seasoned, it is so easy to use! Stick free surface, fast hey up time, and easy to clean. If your looking for something a little less expensive I would recommend this machine.
-
These machines are good for electric use and easy transport if necessary, yet the maker does not keep temperature well. During a busy hour the machine will have to keep raising the temperature.
-
Love this machine. We use it in our creperie and it keeps up with our orders wonderfully. It doesn't leave an after taste and gives off a great brown color in a matter of minutes.
-
I love this crepe maker. Very easy to season compared to the Krampouz. Comes with a nice metal spatula which is very useful. Would recommend.
-
This works great ,Very affordable price.Well made and have duty .We have it for a year now and still love it.Great buy if you ask me .
-
These work great for a crepe shop I ran. They heated up evenly and are very easy to clean since the entire top is stainless steel. For being commercial crepe makers, these are also a very good price.
-
this is the best price i can find here for this brand of crepe maker, good quality and easy to use and cleaning. the pan could keep warm and hot for a long time.
-
this takes a while to heat up but trust me it is worth every minute of it because once heated to the correct temp you can kick out the crepes one after the other with no down time. It also makes fantastic quesadillas, pancakes, hash browns, grilled cheese sandwiches and so much more. I highly recommend this Crepe maker
-
We've now have this unit for 5 years and no problems to date. The time required to heat this unit up to working temperature is approximately 20 minutes. minus one star due to long heat up time
-
The Waring Crepe Maker is great. Make sure you follow the directions and season it or it won't work correctly. It heats up well and the crepes have come out evenly cooked, no complaints.
-
Great product for the price. It takes a few days to get it perfect for our crepe. After few days we have been making at least 20 crepes for days.
-
I have only used it for crepes and pancakes. Cast iron helps provide a more uniform heat. I know this is expensive for home use, but it's more than worth it. First, it is professional quality. Second, it is BIG. I have one of this in my home and some others in my restaurant. I would certainly recommend this crepe maker so far.
-
We love this crepe maker. It keeps a reliable heat and makes consistent crepes. We have been using it heavily for the last 6 months and it works well. It is very heavy and you need to make sure to season it well before using. I used steel wool and detergent to clean it before seasoning.
-
I absolutely love this crepe machine. We use it everyday in my dessert shop and it hasn't failed us yet. Easy to use and clean. perfect crepes everytime.
-
It does a great job, so much so that we bought a second one! The first one was over a year ago. We bring them to jobs or use them at the concession stand.
-
If you are going to use this for home, it'll suffice. If you need consistent performance for a professional environment, I'd pass. There are a couple of big problems with this machine. First of all, the temperature is not even throughout the plate. It is much hotter in the center than on the edges. Second, the temperature fluctuates significantly. Because of this temperature fluctuation your crepes will not come out the same consistency each time you pour your batter (unless you time it with the thermostat). Sometimes it will cook too quickly which makes for a crepe that is too soft, or will cook too slowly, which will make for a brittle, hard crepe. I haven't tried the new 120v Krampouz crepe griddle, but if it is made with the same quality as their 240v griddle, I would spend the extra money on it in a heartbeat. I cook all my crepes on Krampouz griddles (gas or 240v electric) and it maintains an even temperature from edge to edge and the temperature doesn't fluctuate NEARLY as much as the Waring. You get even, consistent results with the Krampouz. Of course, you are also paying nearly 4 times as much. Read Less Read MoreThank you for your review! We love the crepe Maker, It works great and I don't have any trouble with it sticking. I spray with buttery flavored pam . The price is great.
-
So far, this seems to be a great crepe maker. I ended up seasoning it more than instructed. And it still needed to cook a few batches to really complete the seasoning. But now, it's as slick as teflon.
-
this is a very large crepe maker, in my opinion very affordable, it do not takes to much time to heat up. Very good quality .
-
This is a great crepe maker for breakfast items and even dessert. Easy to use and nice large surface is great for making all sizes.
-
Hi to everyone I just bought this crepe maker and I m planning to do crepes on street fairs and farmers markets , can somebody pls tell me if this machine is good for that. That wouldn't be longer then 5 hours per day and maybe twice a week. Thank you very much A.K.Thanks for your question! After verifying with our product experts, this crepe maker should be able to handle the demands that you mentioned.
-
This Waring brand electric crepe maker is amazing! It makes it easy to produce light and crispy crepes all the time!! Great for sweet and savory applications!!
-
These are really nice if you have a place that does a ton of crepes. You can prep up a bunch in the morning and then just heat them up as you need! or you can just do it to order too. Very quick.
-
Love the large cooking surface but I'm having trouble getting the batter not to stick. On that note, any owners have tips on seasoning beyond what's in the booklet? I got the deep amber color but couldn't really get it to extend all the way to the edge - it's a bit uneven. Also I find the metal spatula is scraping some of the oil off the surface, creating spots that are more sticky than others (see photo - if this upload works). Some other questions: - What temp do you cook at? - What are you using to coat the surface right before putting the batter on? I'm using a quick wipe of butter currently, which works OK. Overall seems like a good product if you can get the seasoning done right (which I have not managed to do yet).Thank you for your review, Erin! We contacted Waring with your question about the seasoning and beyond following the seasoning instructions as listed in the manual, they also suggested heating up the unit first, and then spray or brush on your butter or oil right before you put your batter down. This should be done before each crepe and will prevent the spatula from scraping it off.
-
I LOVE this crepe maker! I use it in my home and it's perfect for savory crepes as well as sweet. The 16" crepe size it makes the perfect serving. My kids love crepes now more than ever. Delivery was fast and the item was better than expected. Love, Love, LOVE it!!!
-
this has to be the best crepe maker compared to the old crepe pans. its easy to use and not many places make crepes these days
-
It has done a great job with making crepe. Sometimes it's hard to make crepe because you need the proper tool and equipment for it. It makes some practice but people are gonna love coming in your shop or house if you have that.
-
we bought two . the instruction was a bit confusing they did not work as well as we likeed.the batter sticks to the suface, we re seasoned agine ,one is ok.pay little more get something better.
