My business is at a high elevation; does this change anything when I order gas cooking equipment?
Many gas equipment manufacturers need to make adjustments to the equipment so it operates correctly at elevations over 2,000 feet. Sometimes we can special order from the manufacturer and have your cooking equipment delivered ready-to-go, but in cases where your unit is in stock and waiting to ship, you’ll need to have a qualified service technician come to your location and alter your unit at the time of installation so that it is compatible with a higher elevation. Contact our Special Orders team prior to placing your order, and we will let you know what will work best for the equipment you are planning to purchase.
Vulcan VICM48-101 Details
Finish off your signature appetizers and entrees with this Vulcan VICM48-NAT 48" natural gas infrared cheese melter. This cheese melter delivers 40,000 BTU of power making it perfect for melting cheese, heating chips, and browning a variety of foods for an ideal crispy taste. A standing pilot ignition system and heavy-duty pre-mix atmospheric infrared burners allow for an energy-efficient cooking process that delivers great results each time you use this cheese melter.
Boasting a heavy-duty wire chrome plated construction, the grid rack can be adjusted to one of three different positions for optimal cooking according to your needs. Then, simply remove the spillage pans for efficient cleaning and maintenance when the unit is not in use. This cheese melter boasts a welded chassis with a stainless steel front, top, bottom, and sides for both an attractive appearance and quality performance. In addition, the wall mounting brackets allow the unit to conform to your kitchen's design with minimal interference. However, you can also mount the unit on a counter thanks to the optional 4" legs (sold separately) or simply place it on top of a compatible range. This unit requires natural gas for operation.
