Whether you're adding it to your restaurant, convenience store, or bar, this machine is exactly what you need to streamline and boost your frozen beverage service. Capable of serving anything from granitas and smoothies to iced or frozen coffee/tea and frozen cocktails, this unit is sure to substantially expand your beverage menu.
A single 10 liter bowl is designed with a clear, highly visible casing so your beverages can be clearly identified. Alternatively, you can upgrade to a double-walled bowl (sold separately) to eliminate the chance of condensation build-up. An interior bowl light illuminates your beverages, thus showcasing their vibrant colors and helping them sell themselves. Easy-to-use controls are both intuitive and customizable enough to offer an array of different drink styles. A frozen beverage mode will allow you to make adjustments to temperature, while the granita setting lets you adjust the consistency until it is ideal.
A magnetic drive system is reliable, durable, and easy to maintain. As opposed to a mechanical drive system, there is much less wear on the parts of a magnetically driven motor, which will give your machine more longevity and will result in fewer service calls. The large freezing surface and properly sized compressor reduce freeze-down times and promote efficient operation. This means that when you turn on the machine at the start of your business's operation, there is much less waiting time for your beverages to reach optimal temperature. When it comes time for cleanup, the gasketless spigot will make cleaning and sanitation much easier than a traditional gasketed model. This unit requires a 120V electrical connection for operation.
About how long does it take for drink mix to freeze in a slushy machine?
The actual figure will vary depending on the machine and other factors like whether or not alcohol is included in the recipe. Generally speaking, though, most machines can freeze a tank of non-alcoholic drink mix in about 30 - 40 minutes but use any guides or references that the manufacturer provides to get an idea of the true figure.
Can I add alcohol in my drinks with this slushy machine?
You should first check the overall sugar content with a refractometer to determine if it is suitable for alcohol. It may also be a good idea to test out a recipe with alcohol so that you can know exactly how to achieve the desired result before advertising alcoholic slush drinks. Also check local laws to be sure you can serve alcoholic beverages from one of these machines.
Previously purchased "pre-vollrath" Stoelting SCBF118-37 early 2021 which still works as advertised. Purchased this model Feb 23 in addition and it will not go into night/hold mode (constantly freezes product). We called Vollrath support who challenged us quoting "BRIX" level requirements for proper operation so went out and purchased a refractometer to measure BRIX. Even created a sugar water to Vollraths BRIX spec and product still kept freezing. After trouble shooting with support we were then told sorry its out of warranty however we can purchase replacement thermostat and switch to fix ourselves. 50/50 with hardware, 0 on support.
