Generally very good, but the picture makes us laugh. There is no way you can handle these with bare fingers straight out of the boiler. If Vollrath made an insulated grip for the cups, that would be a great innovation. Eggs do often stick in these unless you over grease/oil them, but are always easy to release with a small silicone knife or spatula.
bought four of these with the matching poacher ring; works as expected. the nonstick coating is gold instead of the black shown in the listing. yes you may get a little sticking around the edge if you don't butter the cups. of course the egg comes out molded to the shape of the cup, so don't try to pass it off as water poached. great product.

AMAZING!! Perfectly poached eggs without all of the mess from poaching with the traditional method. These little poacher cups make poached eggs even quicker and easier than they use to be, definitely a good buy!
We sit these guys in our food steamer for 4 minutes for a perfect poached egg every time. The shape isn't quite the same as a water poached egg but with hollandaise or bechamel over it you can't tell the difference. One complaint is that the non-stick finish seems to be wearing away but we wipe the inside with olive oil before each use and spoon the eggs with no issue. They are pretty light weight as well but it gets the job done.
