Hi, Dimitra here. GET's drink-ware, bottles, and pitchers, are an ideal alternative to glass because they are shatter-resistant and very durable. They are designed with your whole operation in mind. So when you are serving drink after drink you want something that will keep up with you as well as with your dishwasher. So what happens when you are washing drink-ware? Well, after about 100 washes drink-ware made out of polycarbonate starts to show wear and tear. Now, where is GET different? Well our drink-ware is made out of SAN and doesn't show that type of wear and tear because guess what? SAN is 10x more durable than polycarbonate so you can rest assured that GET not only is creating something that is more durable but it also is so much more economical for your to use. So, how do you get the most out of your drink-ware, bottles, and pitchers? Well it's easy. Let me show you how.
Handling. Handle your drink-ware, bottles, and pitchers with care so when picking up after your guests make sure you gently place the items into the bus tubs.
Cleaning. Cleaning your GET drink-ware, bottles, and pitchers is a simple 4 step process. First your rinse, then you scrub, then you wash, and then you dry. Do yourself a favor and rinse your drink-ware right away because there may be some things that leave a residue or in the long run can create build up and you certainly don't want that. Now if there is still a little residue after you rinse you want to gently scrub with a sponge or a towel. Never use a green scrubby, steel wool, or metal as the finish will dull and it will not look good to be in service.
Dishwashing. Now, once you are done with that it is time to wash. First, you have to stack your drink-ware in the appropriate dishwasher rack, don't overload the dishwasher. Then, you want to check and make sure that your dishwasher liquid is absolutely bleach free. Finally, you press start. Once the drink-ware comes out of the dishwasher you want to let it dry, and the reason for that is that you want to make sure that it is completely dry before stacking it or else it will stick.
Destaining. A cloudy appearance on your GET bottles or drink-ware is not a defect with the item, it is the result of some type of protein build up. When does this occur? Well it occurs when you don't properly rinse the items. So it's really important that after taking them away from your guests that you rinse right away. But if this does occur, don't worry, don't need to order any new ones or get rid of them. You just have to soak them in some granulated dishwashing powder and water for 4 hours. That's easy, right?
Now, let me tell you about what not to do with the GET drink-ware bottles and pitchers. Never expose your GET drink-ware to high heat as it will warp or melt or get some other kind of damage and it just won't look good. Avoid collecting your GET drink-ware in the same tub that you would silverware because over time it will scratch and it won't look good and you will have to replace it. Also, when taking your GET drink-ware to the back please don't strike it up against a sink or a trash can because it will definitely get brittle and break over time. And when you're washing and sanitizing your drink-ware never ever ever use bleach because it will discolor your product and you will have to replace it. And finally, with the GET bottles, you want to make sure that instead of refilling them right away you empty them, you wash them, you sanitize them, and then you refill them. That's what we call proper rotation with our bottles.
All in all, caring for your GET product is a pretty simple process and if you follow everything that I've told you today it will keep your GET drink-ware, bottles, and pitchers sparkling like new for a very, very long time.
