Installing a pre-rinse unit. Depending on the type of T&S pre-rinse unit purchased, installation follows 1 of 2 simple procedures. A typical installation for our traditional models or a pop and lock installation for our easy install models. But no matter the method, T&S makes it easy to be up and running in no time. Now lets get started. All supplies are packaged neatly in the box to help avoid lost parts. Begin by shutting off the water supply and draining the lines. Apply Teflon tape or pipe joint compound to the water supply lines. Install the coupling flange to the water line nipple and tighten to the wall or deck. Insert the coupling nut washer and attach the faucet to the flange. Tighten the coupling nut with a wrench and then turn on the water to test for leaks. Apply Teflon tape to both ends of the riser included in your assembly. Install one end of the riser into the top of your faucet and tighten it by hand. Slide the hook halfway down the riser you just installed and tighten the screw temporarily. Hand tighten the spring assembly to the top end of the riser and then tighten it with an adjustable wrench. In the process you will also be tightening the riser you installed. It is important that the spring assembly be installed properly, with the closed coil end at the riser. Now adjust the height and position of the hook, so the spray valve hangs loosely when secured by the hook. You don't want to put unnecessary strain on the spring assembly. Turn the water supply back on and check for any leaks, making adjustments if any are needed. When installing the long riser you should also install a wall bracket assembly for added support. Also you can easily install an add-on faucet between the riser and the base faucet body. Now that the unit is properly installed, you can begin using your new T&S Brass pre-rinse unit. Just make sure your employees turn off the water at the faucet when they are done using this product. At T&S, we understand the last thing our customers need are long, tedious installations. That's why we developed easy-install pop and lock pre-rinse units for even easier installation. The pop and lock feature cuts installation time by 66%. Here's how it works. Simply slide the easy-install nut onto one end of the riser. Apply Teflon tape to the top of the threads on the riser and attach to the spring assembly. Tighten the spring body and the riser assembly with a wrench in a counter-clockwise direction. Make sure the easy-install locking washer is seated properly inside the faucet body. Grab the riser assembly and lower the easy-install end fitting into the faucet body. Press down until the end fitting pops in place. Then, lock the easy-install locking nut in place and tighten with a wrench in a clock-wise direction. What if you have a pre-rinse unit that you'd like to convert to a standard faucet? There are only a few steps necessary to perform this change. Begin by turning the water off at the source. Loosen the swivel nut and remove the riser assembly and the easy-install locking washer. Next, grease the end of the swing nozzle or gooseneck swivel. Insert the end into the faucet base, twist, and push into place. Now, tighten the swivel nut by hand and snug it up with a wrench. Turn the water on, check for leaks, and the faucet is once again ready for use. As you can see, our pre-rinse unit exemplifies our distinctive T&S quality, as well as easy installation and removal. With our unique pop and lock system. At T&S we make the installation of our products simple through innovative engineering and cutting-edge design, with reliability built in.
