Amazing texture, flavor, and appearance. Be careful when cooking - easy to overcook and burn it. Experiment and then cook the same way every time. It's best when baked or pan fried. But I even like it microwaved (which is kinda sacrilegious, i know, but it's done in 30 secs..). Pretty oily. Store it flat so the oil doesn't collect at the bottom of the bag. You can pat off the excess oil after cooking and it still tastes great. Don't refrigerate.

I just ordered my third or fourth case of this? I first heard of Umaro through my friend who owns a local grocery chain here. She tried a sample at a food expo and texted a whole thread of people saying, "this is going to be huge". She was apparently right. It's salty for sure (but so is bacon!) but it's the only vegan bacon that has that fatty, umami packed bite to it. I find air fryer is the best method. You can undercook it a little for a chewier bacon but also make it crispy for breaking and tossing on top of pasta or salad. Makes an amazing sandwich topping.
