When we first switched to the Tuxton plates in our cafeteria they looked great. The plates themselves are heavy and look trendy. Once we started using them we had issues with chipping. At one point we were setting aside 2-3 plates a day due to small chips on the rim. It takes an act of congress to send them back and you have to pay shipping. The plates we replaced with the Tuxton plates never chipped. We switched because our previous plate was no longer made and we needed to freshen up the look of the cafeteria. At the rate the Artisan plates chip we will need to switch soon to something more durable. Again these plates look great, but can't withstand the daily use of a buffet.

Nice looking, but look ratty very quickly due to scratching from stacking. The white (agave) color is the problem. Our other colors from this line don't get the grey scratching that makes the plate look dirty like the white ones. We need an alternative.
