This plate is just the right size for presenting a small baked item, such as a roll or scone. We use it at our bed and breakfast to add some color to an otheriwse white place setting.. Tuxton is super durable - all our coffee and espresso mugs are Tuxton from Webstaurant.

These plates are very tough, and have held up extremely well. I have no doubt these will last a lifetime. The only downside is the center ridges can be a pain to clean with stubborn food remnants, but otherwise have greatly exceeded expectations after several years of use.
