You can use a commercial dishwasher to clean your melamine items; however, top-rack only is recommended for residential dishwashing units.     These melamine tea cups are great for serving our jasmine tea in. We found that when we used higher ounced cups that the tea gets could, so we opted to get these smaller cups which are perfect
