Bowl has a gloss shine finish, not noticed in the picture from website which was exactly what I liked about it. It feels cheap to touch and sounds like ordinary plastic when touches the table. Size is good. It washes well in the dishwasher and I poured hot red sauce in it and have noticed any staining. However, it became very hot unusually fast when I poured hot pasta in it. I would not have bought had I seen these bowls before ordering online nor can recommend to others.
