Sourced exclusively from the Sidama region of Ethiopia, Gore Kone is comprised of mixed heirloom coffee varietals that are grown between 1,800-2,100 meters above sea level. This coffee is processed at the Gore Kone washing station, which supports the livelihoods of 700-800 small family-owned farms in the West Arsi Zone. Gore Kone coffee is washed, meaning the coffee beans have the cherry removed before they are dried. The washing process prevents fruit fermentation during drying, delivering an unadulterated, clean, and crisp flavor profile that lets the beans' character shine through. After processing, Steady State roasts the green coffee beans to a light roast level to promote sweetness and complexity in the cup. The final result is a balanced, fruity coffee with crisp complexity and tasting notes of acai, key lime, and peach. Gore Kone embodies all the bright and fruity character of washed Ethiopian coffee and is a true crowd-pleaser!
