Details
Expand your selection of specialty coffees with this Steady State Roasting Adanech single origin whole bean coffee! Sourced from several small farms in the Guji region of Ethiopia, Adanech is comprised of mixed heirloom coffee varietals that are carefully selected for their sweet berry character. This coffee is grown between 1,800-2,000 meters above sea level and naturally processed with the cherry intact to add dimension and fruity notes to the flavor profile. After processing, Steady State roasts the green coffee beans to a light roast level to promote sweetness and complexity in the cup. The final result is a sweet coffee with tasting notes of blueberry pie, apple, and chocolate with a smooth body. Adanech embodies all the bright and fruity character that afficionados expect from natural process Ethiopian beans and is a worthy representative of the birthplace of coffee!
This coffee's whole bean format allows for flexible preparation options to suit the needs of your establishment. For a French press preparation that brings out the complexity of this roast, grind the coffee coarsely and pour just enough water 30 seconds off a boil (205 degrees Fahrenheit) over the beans to saturate all the grounds. Allow this slurry to bloom for 30 to 40 seconds before filling your French press all the way and allowing it to steep for 3 to 4 minutes before plunging. For a perfect pour-over, grind the beans to a medium-fine consistency, then simply pour water 30 seconds off a boil (205 degrees Fahrenheit) over them. You can prepare this coffee in commercial brewers to create large batches, or offer it in an individual pour-over coffee maker for an individualized artisan experience. To truly highlight Adanech's fruit-forward sweetness and cocoa notes, grind this coffee to an extra-fine consistency and use it to pull espresso shots or to make AeroPress coffee. No matter how you choose to prepare it, Adanech is ideal for everyday drinking and elevated coffee ceremonies alike!
