Like anything proprietary, the sky is the limit re cost. This is no different. But, it is durable and fits exactly as any original part would. Because it is both necessary and durable, it is worth the cost. Plus, 12.5 feet worth of cord, even for basic cording, would be expensive, so really this is a "deal." Regardless, if you need it, you need it. And, we needed it. I can recommend this cord as just as good as the OEM one you get with any purchase (of course, since it is the same thing).
