The description does not describe the shell size and I'd certainly call them small shell. I prefer medium normally. I love these pasta shells - they are just the right size for my soups, macaroni and cheese, and pasta dishes. I even cook them in my instant pot. I don't cook them for longer than 1 or 2 minutes instead of the 4 or 5 minutes recommended for pasta - so they don't get too soft. Sometimes I make a soup in it and when its done I shut it off, add these wonderful pasta shells, cover and wait 4 or 5 minutes - voila the shells finish cooking themselves. Because pressure cookers cook at such high temperatures it doesn't take too long to overcook pasta. Anyways, this pasta is so good and comes at an incredible price.
