When I first bought this I HATED it. I was so angry at myself to buy a stock pot with a spout for TWICE the price of a the same stock pot, same maker with no spout. I started using this pot for shrimp boil. These pots are huge and can hold all the potatoes, shrimp, corn on the cob, and sasauge that I can cram into the pot. Thanks to the drain I don't have to lift the huge pot off to drain. I can open the valve and away I go. Unlike the cheap pots these will not burn out when I use it under my 150k propane jet burner.
