Really like the removable grids. It makes it much easier to clean. The non-stick really does not work that well though. After a few waffles you need to spray the machine. And after a service you basically scrape off all the non-stick surface anyway while cleaning.

We tried about seven different waffle irons All with the "commercial" rating written on the box. They were all junk broke almost immediately. This unit has been incredible. We have had replaced the grids one time and I think we may have to do them again in the future. It's not worth the extra money to get the coated grids. Webstaurant also sells the best waffle iron spray we have found. Works incredible.

This product is not recommended. It was only "non-stick" for a week before the coating began to chip off. After taking off the plates to clean them (per manufactures instructions) they do not lock back into place tightly creating a gap for batter to spill into. Also, it takes over 4 minutes to make a waffle (not ideal for a busy restaurant) but it does not produce consistent results.
