Although you can hone the blades on your slicer, sometimes a new set is whats needed. For the price these made our prep a ton easier than using the older blades.
Great product. I recommend you replace one blade at a time since the bolts that hold the blades are specifically fit to each bolt-hole. If you take off both old blades and throw your bolts in a pile, you will spend 15 minutes with this rubik's cube figuring out exactly which bolt corresponds to which hole. If you take your time and organize your bolts and it's a snap.
If you use the slicer daily, you sould get this extra blade just in case your original part gets dull. Easy to remove and change blades.
Looked for these blades from our local supplier. Even with shipping it was almost half of the cost through the Webstaurant. You have again made me a believer and we will order these blades again when needed.
