It features 50 channels and a UHF frequency of 900 MHz. It has a standard whip antenna for an extended range of 350,000 sq. ft. without static or dead zones. This radio has a vibrant backlit color display with brightness adjustment to provide a clear image. It is easy to operate with a simple push-to-talk (PTT) button, an intuitive navigation menu, and prominent keys.

This license-free radio uses Frequency Hopping Spread Spectrum (FHSS) technology for more reliable and private communication as compared to standard analog radios. It offers enhanced privacy with a unique radio profile ID number with over 10,000 available codes to choose from. This radio has a private reply feature to allow 2 people to instantly connect after a group transmission. Its one-to-one private calling allows for private communications with a specific user, while the one-to-many group calling feature enables public group calls. This radio also has page all and call all functions to communicate a message to everyone currently available.

This radio features one-touch access to select pre-programmed call functions. Its scan feature monitors and join calls for groups defined in a pre-programmed list, while its quick text feature lets you program up to 10 short messages to send to other users. This radio allows you to send a call alert to another user, and it has a rental timer to disable the radio after a defined period of time. It offers over-the-air cloning to wirelessly copy the settings and contacts from one radio to another.

This radio features a slim, rugged design, and it is stain- and odor-resistant with antimicrobial properties to prevent the growth of mold and germs. It is IP54 rated and meets MIL-STD 810 requirements to withstand dust, water, vibration, shocks, and extreme temperatures. This unit operates using a lithium-ion battery, which is easily rechargeable using the included drop-in charging tray. This battery lasts for up to 16.5 hours per charge. This radio comes complete with a swivel belt holster for easy transport and access.
