For your convenience, this planter does not come with pre-drilled drainage holes, so it can be used indoors. For outdoor use, drill (3) 3/4" drainage holes in the inside of the planter, and (2) 3/4" drainage holes on the outside. This will help prevent oversaturation of the plants and bulging of the planter walls. For more stability in high-traffic areas, remove the plug in the basin and fill the inner cavity with gravel or sand. To clean, use a soap solution and high-pressure water.
