This window box features a double-wall construction that creates a sub-irrigation system to allow the plants to mostly water themselves. Simply fill the water reservoir until water drains out, and then add your potting mix and plants. To fill the reservoir after your plant is potted, simply water your plant and the extra water will fill the reservoir! To access the water reservoir after potting for quicker filling or draining, drill a 3/4" hole in the side or back of the planter. Use the rubber plug (included) to cover the hole when not in use. After several weeks of regular watering, the plants will be able to pull moisture themselves through capillary action, but occasional watering is still needed.

It was quick and easy to install. Everything needed to install was included. I had to order the hanging brackets separately, and I wish they would come in pairs because I had to order three sets of 3, so I had one spare. Otherwise 10/10 would recommend
