Simply fill the water reservoir until water drains out and then add your potting mix and plants. To fill the reservoir after your plant is potted, simply water your plant, and the extra water will fill the reservoir! For direct access to the water reservoir after potting, drill a 3/4" hole in the side or back of the planter to streamline the filling or draining process. After several weeks of regular watering, the plants will be able to pull moisture themselves through capillary action, but occasional watering is still needed. The integrated overflow drainage not only prevents overwatering but also promotes strong, healthy growth. It also comes with a fill port plug that is easy to remove for filling or drainage. To best maintain your planter's fresh appearance, clean with mild soap, water, and a soft cloth, then rinse with a hose.
