This ice flaker works great. We run it 24/7 and it's flawless and completely hands off. It will fill a 1000# bin in about 12 hours if you can keep your environment 65F or lower. It's a little slower in a warmer environment. We mounted ours to wall brackets to allow for large bins which we move in and out with pallet jacks. The flakes drop through a 6" hole in the center bottom of the unit.

With high load capacity bearings, this unit is capable of producing 1264 lb. of ice per day to keep up with a high demand setting. The small, soft ice flakes this machine produces cool rapidly and mold to any shape. They are perfect for displaying seafood and meat in salad bars and cold food tables. Plus, the flake ice can also be used to make blended drinks or scooped into a variety of refreshments.
Featuring a heavy-duty stainless steel cabinet to resist corrosion, this unit provides reliable service. As an added benefit, the stainless steel exterior wipes clean to keep your machine looking sleek and new. This unit can create ice using water between 37 and 90 degrees Fahrenheit and will operate in ambient temperatures between 50 and 110 degrees Fahrenheit. It requires a 208-230V electrical connection.

My ice machine has been shut down for awhile, how should I restart it?
If your ice machine has been shut down or not in use for a prolonged period time, please reference your machine's user-manual for a restart procedure, often called “Winterization." Please reference your user manual or contact customer service with any questions.
What does the "T" or "F" mean in the new Manitowoc model numbers?
This indicates that the unit is using R290 refrigerant, a more eco-friendly refrigerant. Although the new models are identical to the older models, Manitowoc has phased out the production of units without R290 refrigerants in response to the EPA’s Significant New Alternatives Policy (SNAP) program.
