Lavex Zap N Trap White Wall Sconce Insect Light Trap with 2 Glue Boards, 1500 sq. ft. Coverage - 120V, 30W

Just received and installed two of these. Both lights consistently go out and need the bulbs adjusted to come back on, or the usual tapping and banging works...sometimes. They will not stay on for longer than 5 minutes, then they go out again. There are no instructions on how to "install" the glue boards. Just toss them in the sconce and see what happens? The bigger issue with the glue boards is that they're not sticky at all. In the first hour of use (when I could actually get the lights to stay on) I watched 3 flies land on the glue board, then proceed to mud stomp their way to the side and walk off. Definitely would not recommend, especially for a commercial establishment. These should definitely be higher quality and heavier duty to be sold on Webstaurant.

The quality is very poor. I only used it for nine months. During this period, I not only changed the light bulb twice, but also it doesn't work now. There is something wrong with the connection of the light bulb!

bought 2 of these for a 900 s ft ice cream store. They have worked perfectly for flying insects including Bees. I read a review that someone expected these to help reduce fruit flies. Being a former bar owner, these are absolutely not intended for that.

This product did not even power on! As such it was totally useless and did not trap even a single insect. Very disappointed with the quality of this item and could not recommend it to anyone.

Doesn’t work after 6 months

We both two of these items less than two months ago, and now both have stopped working. One only ever worked intermittently. Definitely not a product I would recommend to anyone. A product with this lack of quality or reliability should not even be offered on this site.

Purchased this item 7 months ago and I have had to change the bulb twice already, and not it isn't working at all. Not impressed with the unit at all and will be looking to replace it.

I bought 2 these 6 weeks ago. We are having a minor fruit fly problem. We do all the necessary steps to minimize the pesky flies. We keep food properly stored, keep every square inch of the restaurant super clean and sanitary, and we treat our drains. After using the Zap n Trap (by the way it doesn't zap) for 5 weeks it trapped about 10 flies and 5 fruit flies. Totally disappointed. It didn't help much. I even moved its location 2 times. So I contacted customer service about returning the items and when I received a reply all I was given was a lengthy email about how to prevent and manage fruit fly problems. The email didn't even mention a possible return. I spend thousands of dollars each year at this online store and this may be my last purchase. Do not buy this product.

I bought 2 of these lights in February and bulb is out already on one just wondering if its a bulb issue or a defective unit

Like many others before us, this light just stopped working. Ours lasted about 2 years, which doesn't seem long enough.

Bought two o t he lights and with only one of them working properly, second one has stopped working will not turn on after replacing the bulbs as this what i thought was faulty. purchased in late July of 2021, less than 90 days. I believe it to be a faulty ballast as this a common issue with other lamps. Definitly would not buy again for this price.

Love these! Super easy to install, come with one glue board included. Great price and start working almost immediately! We have them back in the kitchen and lobby and have barely noticed any insects since they have been installed. Would def recommend!!!

After using the Insect Trap for a couple of weeks, I can definitely say that there has been an slight improvement on the fly "issue" in our restaurant. However I would not use this unit as the only solution. We need to spray and use fly bait as well

Super bummed. Gave up the ghost after two years. Did a fine job while it was in use, but definitely expect longer life for this price point.

I have used this product for about 6 months now and it works great. I have to replace the glue boards about once per month they get so full. I have 3 of these traps in my commercial kitchen and they catch everything from fruit flies to moths and stink bugs. They appear to work best when mounted close to the ceiling so the blue light is very bright all around. I have these near all of my doors and have noticed a significant decrease in flies in the kitchen. (We are near farms so lots of flies in the summer)

Does not seem to work, box came opened, power cord is only like 2 feet long. it does light up but no bugs seem interested with it.

The magnetic latches use soft plastic casings as 'hardware'. It broke the first year, so I've rigged up a dumb workaround. Cost cutting to the point of obsolescence. It traps flies when you can close it though.

Absolute junk! Installed 2 of these in my shop. After the first night with no other lights on, zero flies were caught. None. I had to swat them the old-fashioned way. The glue boards are not sticky AT ALL. No way these things will work....total junk, save your money!

This works well or at least it did until I had to order a new bulb and glue trap. Finding the right items is too difficult and I am pretty savvy. I’m a busy business owner and if it is this difficult to find the right replacement parts and I have to order another light. I will go with another company that makes it easy to order replacement parts.
