I bought 2 these 6 weeks ago. We are having a minor fruit fly problem. We do all the necessary steps to minimize the pesky flies. We keep food properly stored, keep every square inch of the restaurant super clean and sanitary, and we treat our drains. After using the Zap n Trap (by the way it doesn't zap) for 5 weeks it trapped about 10 flies and 5 fruit flies. Totally disappointed. It didn't help much. I even moved its location 2 times. So I contacted customer service about returning the items and when I received a reply all I was given was a lengthy email about how to prevent and manage fruit fly problems. The email didn't even mention a possible return. I spend thousands of dollars each year at this online store and this may be my last purchase. Do not buy this product.

Thank you for your review! We are sorry it did not do much to lessen the number of fruit flies in your restaurant. This insect sconse is not really made for fruit flies since it is light based. To best reduce the number of fruit flies in your establishment, we recommend using some with an atrcatant in it that will better catch the fruit flies. Consider trying this Fruit Fly BarPro FFBP Insecticide Vapor Strip instead.

The magnetic latches use soft plastic casings as 'hardware'. It broke the first year, so I've rigged up a dumb workaround. Cost cutting to the point of obsolescence. It traps flies when you can close it though.

I’m a busy business owner and if it is this difficult to find the right replacement parts and I have to order another light. We started having issues with gnats in our store and didn't know where they were coming from.
