What does the thickness mean on my plastic bag?
The standard thickness for plastic bags is 2 - 3 mil. One "mil" refers to one thousandth of an inch. Bags that are thinner, such as bags with 1 mil, 1.25 mil, and 1.5 mil thicknesses, are better for single-use and disposable purposes. Bags that are thicker, including bags with a thickness of 4 mil and up, are considered hefty and are more reusable than thinner alternatives.

Create a barrier between your pallet and unwanted dust, debris, or weather with this Lavex Industrial 50" x 42" x 69" 3 mil black polyethylene UVI/UVA pallet top cover. Made from a blend of 100% virgin low and linear low-density polyethylene (LDPE), this cover contains no added toxins or heavy metals. The continuous roll of black film allows you to keep what is under the cover hidden. For convenience, this film is wound with a 3" core with a 1" core plug. Plus, it is FDA-approved, allowing you to store a variety of miscellaneous items.

Designed for superior strength, this 3 mil film gives you increased flexibility without sacrificing strength, which makes it less susceptible to rips and tears. Its perforated design makes it easy to tear off for quick access when needed. Plus, its premium UVI/UVA construction protects the film and its contents from sun damage. It is also heat sealable with a bottom seal construction for simple closing. Ideal for use as a vapor barrier or drop cloth, this is best used as construction and agriculture (C&A) film.
