13" CleanCut Knife
This unit boasts a 13" CleanCut knife which is non-removable to reduce the risk of employee injuries. The blade is made from a wear-resistant stellite alloy that will stay sharper and last two to three times longer than carbon-coated or stainless steel knives!
A new tilting, removable carriage system, removable meat grip arm, and a removable ring guard cover help to make cleaning this slicer even easier! Plus, the spring kickstand underneath the slicer helps you to lift it up so that you can clean underneath the base of the unit.
1/2 hp Motor
Thanks to its 1/2 hp motor and ample product carriage with a 12 1/2" manual travel, this unit can easily handle continuous slicing of meats. This unit is even powerful enough that it can cut cheeses.
1" Maximum Slice Thickness
This slicer can slice foods into pieces up to 1" thick. An adjustment knob makes choosing your slice size simple. Plus the double action indexing cam allows precise thick or thin slicing.

Ease of Use
Only Hobart gives the client zero knife exposure during sharpening and cleaning. The optional, patented knife removal system just takes a simple push and twist while keeping the knife edges totally protected. The Borazon sharpening stone comes with a lifetime guarantee and keeps the knife edge sharp. Our HS series anodized models also have six automatic interlock features, including: requiring a home start position, gauge plate and carriage system interlocks, close-to-stop interlock, a no-vault release, and 30-second shut-on.
Our patented ring guard cover prevents debris build-up and it's easy for your clients to slide on or off. The angled gates plate design helps keep juices away from the index knob and control panel and the continuous 1-piece base reduces seams and gaps and enhances the ease and thoroughness of cleaning. Awesome slicer, easy to tear down and clean. Hobart is best of the best. Be sure to grease it as soon as you unpack it from the box.

We bought this Hobart meat slicer in May 2016 (Hobart HS6N-1 13" Manual Slicer) with high hope that this will last us many years. 2 months using this equipment since we opened our restaurant, and the slicer is going bad already. We called Hobart local service to come out check as the slicer was making unusual noise and the gauge plate is moving. They came out replaced a few parts. Few days later, the slicer started making louder noise so we called in for service again. They came out to do service 2 more times and each time replaced a different bearing (top and bottle). The problem still not fixed or should I say it got worse. The service technician said they are ordering a new shaft to replace which will take 5-10 days, but no warranty that the new shaft will fix the problem. Since this is the heart of our business (no slicer=business shut down), I asked if they can provide a loaner but no luck there. I called Hobart service again and again, but still no progress. Bottom line is that for the money we spent on this slicer for it to go out within 2 months is not worth it. We are looking to buy another slicer as an alternative solution. I had this slicer in Italy and I love it because it's the only one that you can clean easy and in every part. I love to remove the blade and put in dishwasher. For me the better
