I see that this gas unit is "field-convertible." What does that mean?
Gas equipment is factory-set to use either natural gas or liquid propane. Field-convertible equipment allows your unit to accept the other gas type (so for example a natural gas unit could be converted to use liquid propane), but this conversion must happen before it is used.
For safety reasons, a qualified service professional should perform the conversion. Your equipment’s warranty may require that such conversions be done by a professional, and failure to do so may void warranty coverage.
We recommend that you communicate with your installer to also arrange for the gas type conversion at the time of installation.
My business is at a high elevation; does this change anything when I order gas cooking equipment?
Many gas equipment manufacturers need to make adjustments to the equipment so it operates correctly at elevations over 2,000 feet. Sometimes we can special order from the manufacturer and have your cooking equipment delivered ready-to-go, but in cases where your unit is in stock and waiting to ship, you’ll need to have a qualified service technician come to your location and alter your unit at the time of installation so that it is compatible with a higher elevation. Contact our Special Orders team prior to placing your order, and we will let you know what will work best for the equipment you are planning to purchase.

Bring convenience to your cooking operation with this Globe GHPSU636G 36" gas countertop step-up range / hot plate with 6 burners! Boasting 6 burners on a 36" wide surface, this step-up hot plate model saves space and allows for easy, portable cooking. Each burner has an output of 30,000 BTU to create a combined output of 180,000 BTU, so although the unit is compact, it brings the cooking power you need to saute, sizzle, and braise with ease. The adjustable pilots have front access with metal control knobs, so you can quickly adjust the heat and gas usage.
This unit's front plate and frame are constructed of durable, sleek stainless steel, and the burners are made of heavy-duty cast iron for lasting use. To add versatility, the burners can be reversed for use with a wok, so this unit is even equipped for making stir fry. Cleaning up is easy too thanks to a removable stainless steel catch tray that holds crumbs and other debris out of the way until you're ready to clean it out. The hot plates sit atop adjustable, 4" stainless steel legs to elevate them to an ideal cooking height. This unit requires a natural gas connection for operation, or it can be converted to liquid propane with the included kit.
