This is a great press, and once you get the rhythm down, you can really crank the patties. Unfortunately, it has a design flaw that hinders longevity in a high volume burger joint. We do roughly 300 patties per day, and we go through these presses about every 6-7 months. The armature is held in the upward position by a razor thin piece of the material the press is cast in - which will wear down after 30,000 patties. If this material extended a mere 1/16” of an inch, it would greatly increase the life of these presses. Other than that, this is an excellent patty press.
