Galaxy GVME16SS Vacuum Packaging Machine with 16" Seal Bar, Roll Cutter and Dual Piston Pump - 120V, 550W

I have owned this machine for less then a year. It will no longer work automatically. It is now a two step process which is not convenient. I would not recommend buying this machine if it will only last 10 months, it cost too much for a machine that won't last. Customer service told me there is nothing they can do since it is over the 6 month warranty period. If you buy this machine you need to definitely purchase the extra warranty....

I am so addicted to this thing! I've only had it a week but so far so good! I previously bought another sealer in this price range and it was broken out of the box so I was somewhat skeptical when I ordered this. Luckily this thing is great. I seal everything now and it saves me a lot of time and money. I can stock up on good deals at the store and not worry about them going bad. Super happy with this product!

Horrible instructions. Black strips needs to be put back in place every time I need to vacuum seal. No videos on how to unpack and get ready to use. Figured it out on my own. So bad for being sold on such a big name website

Longevity of this rather expensive sealer is very poor. Shortly after acquiring the sealer the black protective tape over the heater bar began to pull free. It has consistently gotten worse over time and LIMITED use since purchase. It is to the point where the tape is completly off and no able to be reapplied without heat resistant adhesive. And clearly the manufacturer does not have this type of adhesive. I have been unable to locate replacement and this renders the machine useless due to burning/melting through the vacuum bag without it. Strongly urge you to DO NOT BUY!

I do not recommend this sealer. Bought it for over $ at the time. To explain how often I use this, I seal about 3-4 bags every 2 weeks. From day one, it never sealed tight like my $ Food Saver. It would leave more air in the sealed bag, causing me to have to redo it over and over and waste bags. Finally, I realized you had to manually apply a lot of pressure during the vacuum/seal process for it to work better. Notice I stated "better", not perfect as I felt it still didn't vacuum 100%. I agree with many of the other low ratings in the sense regarding having to put manual pressure on the lid. Works well for us.

This thing lasted just over 1 year and then stopped working in automatic mode. The display stopped showing vacuum level and sealing time/temp as usual display settings and had random numbers that don’t seem to correlate with user manual. Pulse mode works and then seal but doesn’t seem to seal well anymore. I had to buy a second one and added the webstaurant 2 year warranty. Galaxy only offers a 6 month warranty NOT 1 year. Good luck to me when I have to find out how well Webstaurant’s warranty works when this new boat anchor fails in 8 months.

There is no vacuum at all. Followed the instructions. Reset to factory settings. Unplugged and replugged and there is no vacuum at all. You can seal but not vacuum.
