This material is not water-proof, but is water resistant. The material is not meant to be left outside during inclement weather, please store inside during rain to avoid damage of the product and potentially voiding the warranty. Protective covers are available for purchase to be used to safely cover fabric during wet conditions.

    Very pleased with this umbrella. It had all the features I was hoping to find when I ordered it. My only complaint would be that this company should utilize better packing. I feel like I was lucky to receive it undamaged. The pole, ribs, and stretchers are wood. The runner and cap are resin. The fabric is labeled Sunbrella and is well stitched and re-enforced at the tips if the ribs. The threading mechanism works well and is sturdy. I would not consider this a strong umbrella, but for my purposes it is perfect. Very attractive!
