San Jamar UltiGrips Hot Pad

Purchased in August 2016. They lasted until right before Christmas. Worked great to keep out heat, but hauling hotel pans seemed to cut up the exterior coating. Now they are leaving black streaks on everything they come into contact with.

These Ultigrip hot pads are FAR better than the run of the mill stuff available at local brick & mortar stores. To begin with they live up to their name, they are definitely "grippy," so much so, that they can double as a one of those little jar lid grippers/openers in a pinch. In fact my wife used two of them last night to open a large jar of organic olives. They also are great for picking up hot glass storage bowls; I point this out because glass storage bowls do not normally have handles, and can be slippery when using ordinary hot pads. Another great feature is that they are large enough to put under a 12 inch skillet and keep it stable on the counter. Furthermore in my opinion, the best feature of these hot pads is that one will completely cover the bottom of a hot dinner plate; thus making it easy to watch the game in the living room from my recliner.

I now use these for most light oven work. They're washable and very good to use

I mainly use these as coasters but the work well in the kitchen. The shape and size is perfect and I love how they grip surfaces and how easy they are to clean, but they are not easy to dry as water has a lot of places to go. Highly recommended!

I really like this small hot pad. It's a great size if you don't want a larger pot holder that will overlap your dish into the food. I also like that it is very flexible. There are also larger ones available, so if you like a bigger size, I'd recommend one of those. I was looking for a small size that would work well to grab the edge of hot serving plates without being too thick or large. This fits the bill.

I love these hot pads because they are thick yet very flexible. They stay clean and looking good unlike most other mittens/pads. They are also easier to wash and dry. I am replacing all of my existing pads with these. Just be careful about what size you order as I didn't realize these would be so small. Even though I meant to buy a larger size these do the job well. I can get a good grip on everything.

I have never had HotPads is wonderful as these ones. I can throw them in a dishwasher to clean them. I use these all the time. I am definitely going to buy more. I have never felt any other hot pad keep away the heat as much as these do. That is very important in a line of work that we do.

These hot pads have been one of the best investments in kitchen equipment we have ever made. They are extremely effective in protecting our staff's hand and handle very hot temps around 500 degrees with out any issues. The pads easily pop into our commercial hobart dishwasher and come out clean, just like new. Some of our older seasoned kitchen staff were very grateful we transitioned to this type of pad because of their cushion and the fact they do not slip. No more dirty and tattered mitts for this kitchen!

So happy I found this product! We operate a Mexican restaurant that serves piping hot plates of food. These offer consistent protection, unlike cloth, which can cause burns when wet or when beginning to wear thin. They hold up at least five times longer than cloth as well, around two years with daily washing. Couldn't live without this product!

These San Jamar Hot pads are super grippy. I love them and don’t know how I lived without them before. I don’t always want a pot holder that grips, sometimes you need it to slide, but when you need it to grip this is the one to have. It also works well for holding down your bowl when you’re stirring

These hot pads are very good quality because they protect the hand while also making gripping and carrying the hot object easy. Their size is also convenient for smaller trays and for storing them in the pockets of a chef's jacket or apron.

I was hoping the ultigrips material would stay cleaner and hold up better than traditional hot pads but the rubber deteriorated over time and we threw them out.

We ordered these for our kitchens to handle hot food. They work great. If they get dirty we just wash them and they hold up really well. Great buy.

I think this functions fine for it's intention- I don't love it for grabbing hot stuff from the oven- it's a bit stiff and it springs back to shape too easy, but I use it more for covering hot handles or when I have to put a hot pan down... and prefer gloves for taking hot stuff out of the oven.

Best hot pad I’ve purchased yet. Washable, grease resistant, right size. I now buy extra to give to friends and family...they love them! Wouldn’t pass these up.

I just LOVE these hot pads! The chef uses towels but I like to have these around for when I help in the kitchen. I like that they are not too bulky and the grip on them is great too.

The San Jamar Ultigrips Hot Pads are an excellent product. they are easy to wash and have amazing grip. They are a little more expensive but may be worth it.

We ordered these to help with handling our large pans and they work great! The size is perfect for the large pots and pans in the kitchen, and while they are not super thick they offer plenty of heat protection.

These hot pads are awesome. Don't feel a thing from hot pans, baking sheets or even plates. It's all due to the material and the thickness.

My cooks were too excited when they saw I ordered new hot pads. These are durable, flexible, block against high heat, and allow for a good grip on hot pans. Great buy!

Nice silicone pot holder that will not get soaked and get super hot when touching something hot. Good and grippy, but a little small for most hands.

These hot pads are not only good looking but they work perfectly. I purchased two of them and went back and purchased two more. They will definitely protect any surface.

We bought these for the store to replace the fabric/towel hot pads we have been using. They are nice and I am not afraid that I will burn myself through the material, unlike the cloth hot pads when they get wet or thin. the only down side is they are awkward to hold and bend.

Great hot pads! We were looking to replace ones that got lots of use for several years at our small bakery. A little nervous, but these have been great! Good material with great heat protection

these hot pads are a great value for their price. They do not easily melt due to high heat and are machine washable to keep them nice and sanitary.

These are great to have on hand when cooking a lot of dishes! I set out hot pans and dishes on these hot pads. I love the simple and clean look of them!

This hot pad is great because some others I've used are not insulated enough for super hot things like pizza stones and hot bread racks. This thing blocks out all of the heat from everything we cook at 400 degrees without any heat coming through to your hands. The down side is it does slowly disintegrate with use and is susceptible to cuts from thin edges like metal pans. I've bought a couple over the years and they keep performing.

Very VERY resistant to heat. There have yet to been signs of melting, and on top of that they have the function of being dishwasher friendly!

These are a bit large and floppy but you can wash them in the dishwasher. We cook at 500 degrees and these have not melted.
