Auto-Stop Failsafe

As a built-in precaution, the mixer has an auto-stop failsafe that will turn off the unit once the timer hits zero, which is helpful for when employees are preoccupied with other tasks throughout the kitchen.

Grated Lid for Safety

The Estella SM30 45 lb. mixer also features a steel grated lid that allows for ingredients such as flour to be added to the dough as it is mixing without having to shut it off. The grate also keeps employees from sticking their hands in the bowl when the mixer is on, improving safety.

Durable Addition

This unit's 2-speed, belt-driven motor, which has a power output of 1500W, will handle a strenuous workload while yielding impressive results. The hooks and bowls can operate on 2 different speeds - the hooks run at low (112 rpm) and high (198 rpm), while the bowl operates on low (15 rpm) and high (20 rpm). A sturdy base will keep the mixer in place while handling the rigors of commercial establishments. This unit requires a 110V electrical connection for operation.

So far, this mixer has performed beautifully. This is an upgrade from a smaller planetary mixer and my primary focus is on making neapolitan-style pizza dough. In that regard, this mixer has been an incredible upgrade! The consistency of the dough is much better and I'm impressed with the ability of the 30 qt. mixer to mix small batches (2kg of flour + 1.4kg of water is in the video. Build quality seems good, but time will tell how long this will last. I'm currently using it once a week, but that will soon change to three times a week and at much larger quantities. I'll be updating this review with any changes of thought once that time comes. Overall, this is a great entry-level spiral mixer that is going to help get my business off the ground without taking too big of a cut out of startup costs - and for that I'm extremely happy so far.

We've been using Kitchen Aid 5 Qt mixer for our bakery for the past 2 years, and we broke 2 of them by mixing too much dough. We finally pull the trigger to get a commercial dough mixer. We have to say it's totally worth it and we should have invested it earlier. This mixer is very easy to operate to mix the dough. This dough performs much better and gives us a better texture of the finished dough. The sound is not that loud compared to Kitchen Aid 5 Qt mixer when mixing dough. This mixer saved us about 5 minutes per batch and definitely increased our production efficiency. Highly recommend those who need an upgrade for mixing bread dough.

We have been using this mixer every day to make pizza dough for 6 months. We have had no problems at all. This mixer works tough dough with ease. Consistency is always perfect and can easily be used by anyone. We really love the timer option, add all the ingredients, push start and let it do its job. I would highly recommend this mixer for any one who makes bread or pizza. 5 stars

So far so good! I purchased this mixer for my small bakery since I focus exclusively on breads & felt that it would be a better option than an orbital mixer. I've found the timer to be especially helpful to avoid overmixing the dough, and my doughs have been more consistent than they were in my smaller 8qt kitchenaid mixer. When the time comes to upgrade to an even larger mixer, I would definitely consider the Estella brand again.
