Our Pastry Arts class has several of the Edlund scales in the class. We prefer them over other scales that are cast metal. The Edlund just seems more responsive and easier to keep clean. One suggestion: could the feet be made of a non-marking rubber or silicone. We actually bend the feet up so they don't mark up our wood benches.

This Edlund BDS-8 8 baker's dough scale is simple, easy-to-use, and accurate. Each 9" diameter platter is constructed from durable, epoxy-coated 12-gauge stainless steel that's easy to clean. Other useful features include rubber footpads for stable placement that won't scratch your tabletop, an over-sized footed plastic scoop, a counterweight, and a full set of measuring weights (1 lb., 2lb., 4 lb., and 8 lb.).
