This syrup has a very strong Hazel nut flavor. That isn't a bad thing, however if I were to purchase this again it would be because I wanted a hazelnut syrup and not because of a macadamia syrup was needed. It is also very sweet so a little goes a long ways.
We have purchased other nutty flavors before from other places and they have been super underwhelming. I should know better than to expect that from this brand because it is a big flavor. You don’t even need much to have an amazing flavor.
I have not yet tried this syrup alone but I did use it with the caramel flavor- the result was pretty tasty. Maybe a bit of aftertaste but not sure which bottle and honestly it wasn’t that bad so will likely reorder
