I kept the straws overnight and up to 24 hours later in cold water & hot chocolate. They did not loss there structure. Nor did they get soggy. They stayed nice looking & able to use over & over. These are adorable straws. The paper is thick so they don't dissolve in a drink. They look festive and crafty, so if you are going for a higher end look, these do the trick. I recommend these wholeheartedly.
