Comark FPP-CMARK-US Details

Perform quick, non-contact surface temperature readings with this Comark FPP-CMARK-US FoodPro Plus digital infrared thermometer with folding probe. Ideal for checking the temperatures of a wide range of foods, it reduces the risk of cross-contamination and minimizes food waste in your business. An upgrade from the FP-CMARK-US FoodPro model, it features a wider temperature range, flip-down penetration probe with a thin tip that measures food core temperatures, and adjustable alarms for line check reminders. It measures temperatures from -30 to 525 degrees Fahrenheit (-35 to 275 Celsius) with a response time under 8 seconds for 95% of readings. The probe has a temperature range of -40 to 302 degrees Fahrenheit with an accuracy of +/- 1 degree Fahrenheit. The thermometer's target illumination design with LED light pinpoints a measurement area so that the user can adjust their positioning for ultimate accuracy.

To help your kitchen maintain HACCP compliance, this thermometer features HACCP temperature danger zones that are indicated with clear safe / unsafe LED warnings. Green indicates temperatures are within safety guidelines and outside of the danger zone, whereas red shows temperatures are inside the HACCP danger zone and potentially unsafe. The HACCP danger zone is set to 40 to 140 degrees Fahrenheit, so you can rest assured this thermometer accurately indicates when foods are at an unsafe temperature.

For your convenience while recording measurements, activate this thermometer's hold feature to freeze the display for 7 seconds. It also features an auto-switch off to preserve power. The timer can be set for any length of time between 10 seconds and 7 hours and 59 minutes. A versatile 1/2" to 12" working range gives the user options for how close to get to the surface. Its emissivity is pre-set for foodservice applications (1 for temperatures under 32 degrees Fahrenheit, .97 for temperatures above 73 degrees Fahrenheit). Plus, it features a 2.5:1 distance to spot ratio. To promote its long life expectancy and accuracy, this thermometer is hand-washable sealed to IP54 standards. With this thermometer, you'll be able to safely and accurately obtain temperatures with instant readings to keep your kitchen efficient and in HACCP-compliant order. This thermometer requires (1) 9V alkaline battery for operation.

Customer questions about this product

Can this thermometer be used for monitoring body temperature?

No, this thermometer is not intended to be used for medical purposes and will not accurately report body temperatures.

What is the importance of an infrared thermometer's distance to target ratio?

The distance to target ratio (DTR or "distance to spot ratio") shows the diameter of the circle of the surface area being measured. For instance, a 12:1 DTR measures a 1" diameter from 12" away, or a 2.5:1 DTR measures a 1" diameter from 2 1/2" away. Keeping your distance from what you are measuring will ensure extra cleanliness in your business.
