Carnival King PM850 8 oz. Commercial Popcorn Machine / Popper - 120V, 850W

Love this popcorn machine! I'm a detail person so it takes me some time to pull the trigger on a purchase; I do a lot of research. I decided on the 8 oz kettle and I couldn't be more pleased. It arrived promptly and was easy set up. It's not too heavy; I can carry it by myself (ex: from car to house). I have slight difficultly for me to get the oil packet into the kettle, but nothing to make my change my mind on the purchase. It just feels awkward but it could be that I'm a lefty or the height of my cabinet. Either way, I still love it. I highly recommend the powder cleaner for the kettle. I didn't buy it at first but it is worth it. I've cleaned the kettle without it but it's difficult to get the crust off the bottom. After my research, this site was the best value, especially with free shipping.

The school's PTO bought this popcorn machine to use at school fundraisers. It's easy to use and it's the perfect size for our needs. I've only used packaged popcorn kits (kernels, oil, salt/flavoring) and it cooks the popcorn well and quickly. Clean-up of the interior is easy with warm water and paper towels; I remove the kettle to clean it in hot, soapy water. I consider it easily portable and light as I'm a petite person and I'm able to load it into the trunk of my minivan and carry into school without having to rest on something on the way in. Be careful when cleaning the crumb tray because the edges of the slot are not smooth and I've cut myself more than once when trying to get out the crumbs that missed the tray. The scoop didn't last long - the black handle broke after using it for only 3 events. Despite the crumb tray slot and scoop being sub-par, I'm still giving this product 5-stars since those two items don't impact the overall use and functionality of this machine.

Popcorn comes out good but you have to make sure you are using the proper amount and letting the popcorn heat up prior to adding your oil, which will produce more popped corn from our experience. We are using kits that are meant for 8 or 10 oz poppers and it seems it is pushing out a large amount of the kernels because the popcorn is too thick on the bottom of the kettle. Cleaning is a little difficult, especially if you want to clean oil and salt off windows after popping. Small space, almost impossible to clean unless you totally remove kettle which isn't practical all the time or you have to wait till completely cool. This has been a great investment. We use it for home use from movie night to family events. We have also used it for church and fire dept fundraisers. It is a very well built machine considering how much i move it around.

When buying things for our new candy store we wanted to have some of the goodies you might get at the fair. This popcorn machine is just perfect for that and it produces a great tasting popcorn !

We purchased our popcorn popper (and cart) from Webstaurant a couple of years ago. We use it for special events and private parties at our restaurant maybe a few times a month at most. We do move and store this item after each use, and it's easy enough to carry. We have had to replace a door once due to improper handling. The only issue with this unit is the doors are not super secure and can fall off and break if you're not careful, but thankfully Webstaurant carries replacement parts.

What a great product for the price!! Super fast shipping, plus the product was packed well and easy to assemble. I had it out of the box, sanitized and popping corn in less than 30 minutes! Great volume and hardly any "old maids". I can't say enough great things about this popper.

We had fresh, yummy popcorn within 10 minutes from start to finish. It took about five minutes for the unit to preheat and about 5 minutes for the popcorn to pop. Since the poppper only has three toggle switches, the popper is very easy to use.

Several years ago we bought a popcorn machine that was smaller than this one and held less popcorn. It cost us over $400. When we decided to get a second machine, I found the Carnival King and am amazed at how great this is. We make popcorn 2-3 times a day - 6 days a week. It is fast, easy and pops uniformly. Very happy with this popper.

I'm highly impressed with this 8 ounce Carnival King popcorn maker was kind of a pain in the butt to figure out when to put the popcorn kernels in make sure you're using non-expired good fresh popcorn kernels

We have only had this machine for about 18 months and we have to purchase a new one. I would have expected a "Commercial" machine to last longer. We make popcorn seven days a week and this machine just isn't up to the task. I'm not sure if I would purchase this brand of popcorn machine again.
