- Why do the numbers on my scale only show half of its weight capacity?
- Scales often have readouts totaling half their capacities. The readout is the highest weight showing on the scale. Because the readout is less than the scale’s maximum weight, they feature a two-revolution dial that can extend beyond the readout to show higher weights, up to double the readout. This allows a scale to have larger, easier-to-read numbers and a more accurate output.
