Avantco RG1830 30 Hot Dog Roller Grill with 11 Rollers - 120V, 910W

Let me start by saying that this poor review is directed at the build quality of Avantco Rollers and not a reflection on Webstaurant. Webstaurant has been wonderful to work with and has rock solid support. We've used this model of rollers for a long time and I've noticed the build quality has gone downhill over the last couple years. We're currently on our second replacement in seven months all have suffered from the chain slipping on the one drive gear. The rollers then stop turning and start to click as the chain skips over the teeth on the gear. It needs better chain tensioner--preferably with a spring. If you decide to buy this, get the extended warranty. You will definitely need it.

We bought this machine to use in our concession trailer. It works very well for grilling our 8 to 1 hit dogs. It takes about 10 minutes for the grill to completely heat up.and another 10 minutes to give the hot dogs that nice grilled look. Controls are easy to use. Cleaning was a breeze with the pull out trays. We are very happy with our purchase. The machine is very well made.

I'm not using this product for its intended use, that is, as a hot dog roller. In a lab setting, it works great to evenly coat the inside of glass bottles with insecticide for insecticide resistance testing to see if mosquitoes have become resistance to a certain insecticide.

Arrived Broken. Since other customers have written complaining that their grill arrived inoperative I tried it out at home as soon as it arrived, before I brought it down to our High School Concession stand. Sure enough it made clicking noises and the rollers jerked but refused to turn. The reason I gave it a 3 star instead of a one star is because it was not all that hard to fix and now works fine. The rollers turn by means of a bicycle chain mechanism behind the left side panel. The drive gear is at the bottom and there is an idler gear towards the left. The arm on which the idler gear is mounted is EXTREMELY flimsy. Used the roller grill for brats at our Cabinet meeting and they came out great! Their color and taste was awesome and we got high praise for how good they were. The brats were so juicy they exploded in your mouth with each bite. The best grilled brat everyone has had! Highly recommend this roller grill to anyone!

Heating Hot Dogs Fine but the first and last roller are clicking and sticking for up to 30 seconds at a time - is it broken? Does anyone know if I can fix it myself? Just took it out of the box- would love help!

I purchased this product to turn out large volume of hot dogs poolside. It allows me to provide lunch or dinner without tending to my grill and heating up the patio. Works like a dream!

Start making squeaky noice in 2nd week and now stopped working. roller are not turning at all

This item is also the best. However, I would of like a glass canape over the hotdogs. Overall, a great machine.

The hot dog roller grill has has been a good product for our golf course cafe. We have a small nine hole golf course and it keeps plenty of food warm for our customers and is easy to clean.

just got my hot dog roller in and i have to say it looks amazing and when i tried it out it was perfect it cooked the hot dogs perfectly and tasted even better the only thing i need now is the hot dog bun warmer i love this hot dog roller and will put it to good work in my business

Our staff loved having this grill in our cafe. We would add the hot dogs at 11AM and by 11:30 staff could grab a hot dog for a quick snack or lunch. It was very popular in the summer months. Never had issues with the unit. Easy to set up, Easy to use, Easy to clean. Great!

Good product. Works great. Sometimes it’s hard to clean the steal rollers. But other then that it works great. I would recommend it to others.

Bought this machine for our pool window. Serves its purpose and works well. It never throws breakers and always heats fast. If the hotdogs aren't completely straight sometimes they tend to roll off the back but I would buy again if I needed.

Great for traditional 6:1 or 4:1 hot dogs. Struggles with foot long dogs, or anything of greater diameter in width, like brats. Pretty basic unit that does the job. Adjustable temperature dial, but not much difference between "medium" and "high", so, we'd turn temp down a bit, but would have to turn all the way down to have any temp difference.

This machine makes it so easy for me to operate,before I had to be putting the hot dogs on the BBQ Grill, Now this is much easier I can display 24 one time and it keeps them juicy and nice.

I have only used the Hot Dog Roller Grill once BUT I am very happy with it. The quality is great and works really well. Highly recommend!

This hot dog grill is easy to use, clean, and can cook both hot dogs and kielbasa like we do at our restaurant. Definitely with the price.
