This cheese melter is made of heavy-duty stainless steel for greater durability in fast-paced kitchens. We use this in a small diner to melt shredded cheese on fries. It gives a nice even melt with light browning and keeps fries crisp. It heats up fairly quick, we usually set it on high for about 3-5 minutes and its ready to go, then we give the cheese fries 1-2 minutes to melt before serving. Overall a nice addition and worth the price.
