These cups stand up to a considerably larger amount of abuse compared to the rim tempered glasses we were previously purchasing. Due to the nature of tempered glass, these cups do create quite the show when they break because when they shatter they create many small pieces rather than the larger shards you'd find in non-tempered, or rim-tempered glasses. I honestly prefer this though because it is far more difficult to cut yourself on the tempered glass pieces versus the large shards you'd find from a broken non-tempered glass cup. The one downside to this though is cleanup is a bit more laborious due to the increased number of fragments. . Needless to say though, these are the only pint glasses I'll be using for my regular business operations.
