What are the different weights for flatware?
Restaurant flatware comes in four different weights: forged, extra-heavy, heavy, and medium weight. The weight refers to the type and quality of the stainless steel and does not necessarily correspond to the heft of an item.
- Forged flatware is the thickest and strongest as it's made from a single piece of thick stainless steel and is extremely durable to withstand any commercial environment.

We were pleasantly surprised with how well these held up. They don't survive if food is left on them for a long time (+3 days), but if they are washed relatively quickly after use they're great. They do perfectly fine in our dishwasher as well.

These are my favorite teaspoons. The are a great shape. They are heavy, but not too heavy. They hold a great amount. I will keep buying these.
