Wusthof 3060388001 Details
Keep your knives sharp and up to any task in your kitchen with this Wusthof 3050388001 Classic Ikon 2-stage handheld knife sharpener! Featuring an ergonomic handle and non-slip base, this manual sharpener is the superior option when it comes to comfort and safety. The "coarse" carbide notch reinstates the edge on a dulled blade. The "fine" ceramic notch sharpens the blade to provide a razor-sharp edge. Knives with minimal damage may only require this second step, as it provides light honing.
For optimal results, place the sharpener on a flat surface. While holding the sharpener with one hand and your knife's handle with the other, insert the knife blade fully into the notch at a 90-degree angle to the sharpener. Apply moderate downward pressure on the blade while pulling the knife toward you through the appropriate notch. Repeat this action, always pulling the blade from heel to tip and never back and forth. This universal sharpener is not intended for use with knives featuring serrated or scalloped edges.
Founded in 1814 in Solingen, Germany, Wusthof is an expert knifemaker, family-owned for 7 generations. Known affectionately as the "The City of Blades," Solingen has been home to master blacksmiths for over 2,000 years. With such an illustrious history, the name Solingen is protected by "The Solingen Decree," which ensures and indicates the exacting standards of knives made in the area. The company's red trident represents its three core values professional chefs can expect to encounter in every Wusthof blade: passion, diligence, and perfection.
