The Vollrath Tribute line is definitely one of the best performing tri-ply pans available. The metal is thicker than most of the "boutique" brands, so heat distribution and heat retention are superior. They're not unduly heavy, just really solid. This model is made in China, although as much as I hate to say it, the quality is at least as good, or even a little bit better than the Vollrath American made products. The new handle is more comfortable than the previous "tri-vent" design. The dimensions give you a little more side wall, and a little less cooking surface than many 3 quart sauciers, which is better for tossing and stir frying, but not quite as good for roux and simmering. Speaking of specifications, there are some typos in the product description. The cooking surface and the depth are reversed--it's 5.75" bottom diameter and 4" deep, not the other way around. And the shipping weight is 3.9 lbs., not 0.1 as is in the chart.
